June 16, 2019

Last weekend, we celebrated Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles fifty days after Easter and the Catholic Church was born.  This weekend we celebrate the fact that God is present to us in the Holy Trinity as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  God is a community of persons living together in a relationship of divine, mutual love.  In like manner, the Catholic Church is a community of believers united in our love for God and for our neighbor.  May our love for one another reflect God’s unconditional love for us as we continue in mission and ministry for the salvation of the world.  The Chancery has approved our project to install tile in the lower level classrooms, and in the video room, to replace the damaged carpet.  These repairs are scheduled to be completed by the end of this month.  This year’s Vacation Bible School is entitled, “Tracking Mary: Mysteries & Messages.”  Registration forms are currently being accepted.  They are on the table adjacent to Fr. Nohe’s office.  VBS will take place July 29 – August 2 and it is FREE to all participants.  Please join us for the Feast of our Patron, Saint Aloysius, Saturday, June 22 beginning with Mass at 11:00 am, followed by a multicultural celebration with food and fun activities in the south parking lot from 12:00 – 2:00 pm.  Happy Father’s Day to all of our wonderful Fathers and many thanks to the Knights of Columbus for handing out the Father’s Day prayer cards.

Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Fr. Larry LoMonaco
